Hello Everyone,
I am new to the Xbox 360 Minecraft edition and I was just wondering, what is the right way to get mob items? I usually play on peaceful to avoid mobs destroying the wonders that I created, I know mobs only spawn on easy or above so, How do I get their stuff when I play on Easy? Should I wait until night time and fight them? (I have diamond armor, lots of bread, and a diamond sword) Or, Should I just waiit until morning and collect their drops? I also don't play on easy do to my assumption that Creepers will get me in a second (this was caused by an encounter I had with 2 Creepers on my first minecraft day), so could anyone tell me if Creepers spawn in the day and what is the best way to battle them. Thanks
Try playing on normal or easy. I don't think there are mobs on peaceful although I'm not a 100% sure because I never play on anything less than normal.

My main problem is with Creepers. If the game had sprinting and knock back, I would be able to take them out easily. But since we dont have that yet they tend to just blow up all the time
The chances of attaining mobs drops after they've burned are slim. You're better off fighting mobs. Considering you're beefed up, it shouldn't be a problem. And yes, creepers do spawn during the day. Best way to counter them is using a bow with arrows.

Thats my favorite weapon to use. long Range, knock back, quickdraw(until future updates) I always try to find as many flint and feathers as possible to make arrows. Never leave my home w/out them

They spawn in the day I got a bow once... nearly died just to get the string to make it. But then I used it to make a dispenser. I guess Creepers are gonna be the most difficult to handle for me. Does anyone have and good tactics or methods for fighting them?

Easiest way is make a bow and collect feather,flint,and sticks to make arrows(lots of them) Also make a set of Iron or Diamond armor(Not a fan of gold armor)Diamond preferably to protect against day/night surprise creeper attacks. believe me armor really makes a difference. Carry lots of food wherever you go and if no bow use a Iron or Diamond sword. Diamond weapons and armor are the best. When you hit a creeper w/a sword always back up so he doesn't explode then go back in for another hit. repeat till he's dead. Like me and Wumbologist said Bows are the best Swords second best
Pretty sure creepers die in two hits in 1.6.6, so I just rush them. 99% of the time, I can kill them with a diamond sword without them blowing up.
Yeah but he's new to MC and has been playing on Peaceful and if he misses while rushing he's screwed that's why I mentioned the fall back option and sometimes Diamond swords will kill in 2 hits but sometimes it's also 3 and today took me 4 w/a diamond sword(granted it was half strength) the best bet is bow&arrow then go w/swords cuz you don't have to be close at all like you do w/a sword and aiming doesn't have to be perfect either

All mobs spawn during the day. Just only in dark places, if you're saying creepers spawn out in daylight then no they dont. Mobs only spawn in dark places, creepers however do not get burnt and catch on fire like skeletons and zombies do in daylight.

Do you have a large expanse of water on your map? Preferably something near the edge of the map? If so, then no, you won't need to light up any caves.
If not, we'll still build the grinder in the corner of your map to reduce the cave lighting required.

That's not the best advice. The ocean still has caves underneath it. Usually, the ocean is really only 10 or so blocks deep - that's far from the 128 blocks you need for a spawn radius. Building it in the air would be better if you really want to avoid having to light things up, but at the current height limit you'll still need to do some lighting.
Forget monster spawners for now what you need is a mob tower with some sort of grinder attached to it.There are lots of tutorials for these on youtube.
I like using arrows too i also like my never ending supply of them

Correct me if I am wrong but, A mob spawner can get mobs Items for you. While a Mob grinder requires a Monster Spawner.
I like using arrows Grinders take the fun out of it for me. there's nothing like an earning a kill
