I found a little cave with 3 slimes that had spawned in it, so i make sure the only entrace was blocked off so that i could ""farm" them but its been 3 days and not one has re spawned, i check every couple hours any idea why they wont spawn??
There must be no players and no player spawn points within a 24 block distance (spherical) of the spawning block. However, mobs that spawn further than 128 blocks from any player will immediately despawn. - Minecraft Wiki. So do make sure you or your spawn (bed home) is not within a 24 block radius of the slime chunk so the slimes can spawn, but not farther then 128 blocks so they won't. So in a brief summary: be 24 - 128 blocks away from where the slimes are spawning so they can spawn.
Check every minecraft day not hours. Otherwise the same stuff applies.

Theres a dungeon near by probably. Dig around. Put torches around the spawner. It is disabled.
Is the room VERY wide and VERY long. With at least 5 blocks at height? I have a farm that is 40 x 40 x 6. It works perfectly.

Do you think the entrance you blocked off was actually where they were coming from and then hopping into the place you had blocked??

Retired StaffDo you think the entrance you blocked off was actually where they were coming from and then hopping into the place you had blocked??
