Soooo Ive just about finished my most recent project which is an airport for my world, its taken me 4 days so far, 2 of which were just levelling the land and laying the stone runway/base, i swear i nearly gave up this project about 5 seperate times during the levelling, such a longgggggg job.

But anyway, I'm looking for some ideas to add to it, it just doesnt feel complete at the moment...


So far it has these things:

* Terminal with arrivals/departures sections (with viewing areas, offices, baggage claim, customs checkpoints, baggage scanners etc).
* A runway (to make takeoff and landings easier :P)
* A hangar with a plane inside it
* A plane outside the departure gate, with steps going up into it

What it will have after tonight:
* A control tower

What I'm considering:
* Helipad/s
* Train station linking up to the terminal which runs back to a station in the centre of my city.


Anybody got any other cool ideas? I was thinking of building a helicopter but theres just not enough different options in minecraft at the moment to make a realistic one... the blades would have to be stone slabs or something dumb like that, it wouldnt look good...

So yeah, any ideas would help so much, it just feels a bit bland to me at the moment..

Ignore the land around the airport, it hasnt been landscaped around it yet, i have some flattening to do and a road to build up to it...

How impressive! I'd put a bus terminal myself, other than that I can't think of anything.

And a parking lot. What's an airport without a huge parking lot that everyone wishes they didn't have to walk across?

a parking lot seems like its a good idea but only problem is my roads are like footpaths that have lights along them so it doesnt really look like a proper road so the car park will look kinda odd lol, plus i have limited room around the airport now

If someone has a good design for a helicopter id be very grateful!?

I'm starting on my control tower today, the design i have for it is gonna be annoying to build but oh well ...

yeah I would use that but doesnt it post it straight to your facebook? Most of my friends dont play minecraft and i might be a lil embarressed having all these pics publish on my profile lol... I dunno, maybe I'll do it.

Can you do it without linking it to your facebook? Or if i link it to my facebook can i make it so the pics dont publish on my wall?

Oh jeez that would have been crazy annoying... 300x300 haha, my airport area was around 150x75 and it was bad bad enough, and some of it was even water which kinda helped me.
