i think its a good idea to have a more dynamic multiplayer feature in the game. just to give the xbox live players more, since the game is what they say a social experience, and community experience. you need something to conncect with the overall community, and since us console players are kind of left out of the kind of features you can do on a PC, i think this is something that would be welcomed and something that can and probably will happen, if they community wants it. if we want it, im sure the developers with give it, they are talking about rentable servers something like the game battlefeild that supposedly has it. fingers crossed, im hopeul of it
Please God, don't let them get rent servers. Does everyone want another bill for fun? Seriously, how much are you willing to pay to play?
i guess thats what some people said with World Of Warcraft when that came out, and now look at it. its not like you will need a credit card to play the game on servers that are already paid for, the people who pay to run the servers im guessing are the only ones who are having to pay, not the people playing on it.
there are a number of games that are out that you have to have a major credit card to be able to play and thats not as cheap as this might be, and people are willing to fork over the cash to be able to play that game, there are people who will pay to run these servers, but you dont have to, i dont have to, and many others dont have to, this would be just a feature that you can choose if you want, games like battlefeild that are popular, have people buying points all the time to be able to host a server for a month.
Are minecraft servers for the PC actually free? ive been on servers the very few times ive actually player the pc version and ive seen people asking for donations to help fun the server, because i guess you run the bandwicth up if you have a server up for a while, i could be wrong but i think there is an underlying charge for having a server up and running all the time on PC, but you and a couple of frineds and put 20$ together buy a 2800 msp card if its is only 200 msp for a month you are set for a few months with one points card.
i think its a good, no one is telling you that you have to pay for a server if you dont want it, but there is a huge community that obviously wants it, and that rules over just one person who objects.
