Yeah, just connect the end of the sequence to the start of it, with as little possible delay. Essentially, you're just making the whole sequence a clock.

Pretty much. You might have to invert the signal. Or, you could connect and time all the noteblocks with a minecart passing over selector rails(the switch ones, whatever they are called). When the minecart returns, the sequence is restarted.

clocks have a few issues in the Xbox version at the moment but yes it's that simple.
one thing to keep in mind is that if you don't have repeaters to slow it down it will likely burn its self out. so make sure you at least have 1 set to 3 or 4 torches.
