Recently, I have been seeing players asking for exclusive blocks and items for Minecraft:The Xbox 360 Edition. In their defense, they have stated,"No, but anything can be solely for this version! It is not a port!" That is true.
However, what types of things excluded from the PC Edition were added here? Splitscreen, Opacity Sliding, etc. I have not 100% proof, but I believe 4J Studios changed the title because of recoding Java into C++ and features that are possible on the consoles and televisions.
I just wanted to mention this for a while now. Just because you see the word "Edition" does not mean that you can have robotic laser beams here while Personal Computer users must have permanent downfall.
The main reason people want exclusive stuff for hte xbox version (I believe) is because the PC version is so far ahead of the Xbox version that we want our own stuff. And probably because we'll never get to make our own mods/ skins.

But that's just my opinion ^^
But we will get the latest PC Version eventually. Making something Xbox 360 Edition-exclusive is pretty unfair.

It's going to happen. 4J has said on their Twitter, in interviews, and even once here on the forums that they will be adding Xbox Exclusive things. They didn't say what those things are, but they did say it's going to happen.
Having an exclusive thing to the Xbox isn't unfair at all. There are things on the PC Version that the Xbox version will never have.

Again, on the PC you can make custom mods and skins yourself and some other things. Here we'll have to (at best) rely on 4J to make paid DLC to give us some of the mods the PC version has.
Microsoft says they're going to Kinect Functionality eventually (although it better be like Skyrims Kinect or it'll be a pain in the butt) we'll also get cross-platform something or the other, (I think I've heard lol)

Microsoft loves exclusive stuff especially when it's a popular game that could help promote their own sales. I'm assuming Mojang talked with Microsoft and Sony which prompted Microsoft to jump at the chance and offer the better deal in exchange for an exclusive release.
Now if they went through all this trouble just to get the title why wouldn't they add exclusive things to the 360 version to make it stand out from the PC version? I feel like this would be common sense if you want to make the Xbox more attractive than it already is and I'm sure exclusive content is mentioned somewhere in their deal.
II guess I'm just tired of everyone saying how the crafting system, splitscreen, etc.. is our exclusive content when it's been stated by 4J themselves that this exclusive stuff has yet to happen. No one knows what it will be but it's almost certainly going to good.
Ok, so this is the factual information I was able to pick out from all of your well-made points, people. 4J Studios has posted on Twitter that exclusive content that we have no knowledge of will be released for Minecraft: The Xbox 360 Edition. If the company actually follows their promises, there will be Kinect functionality. Anything else to be added is up to everyone's speculation.
Funny nobody asks if the PC is going to get any of the xbox features (like auto-crafting, tutorial, etc.).
People treat the PC one like it's the "perfect version"- it's not.
PC has some good points.
Xbox has some good points.
But they'll always be "different" and never become "One".
