For those of you that are familiar with AND gates. I found a few noticeable bugs. First, when I flipped one of the switches on and off really fast, the location of the AND gate (the 3 blocks) are glitched and cause the mechinism not to work. For example, to open door I place AND gate. Three swtiches link to three sides and then an output right? So then flip one of the switches connecting to the AND gate on and off really fast for a bit and the AND gate will stop working because the torches wont turn on and off. So i tried everything from destroying the whole thing and rebuilding it and didnt work. then i moved the AND gate a block up and connected everything and it worked. So note to self: Don't flip the switches on and off rapidly or you gonna have to move the device... Try it and tell me if it happens to you. I think the redstone pulse just gets confused and breaks (bug).
I've had some issues with redstone wire being stuck in the "on" state even though the input is a button. But never anything like this, I will have to try it when I get the time.
Ive noticed several bugs involving redstone. If one plays with a switch (flicks it back and forth really fast) the whole system will just bug out and not work properly, requiring a complete repair of the torches.
I think it's a problem with the torches mainly becuse it seems once I pick those up and put them back down in their proper spots everything works the way it should again.
However in my community world all of the redstone torches seemed to have just stopped working. I had to do a complexed lock system (mainly complexed because it was double doored and I had limited space) on two different sets of doors and both seemed to stop working completely. I plan on completely removing the systems and putting them back but thats going to be SUCH a pain Ive been putting it off
When using an and gate you have to go slow or will confuse the tick or in your case burn out your torch. As for hitting a button and the wiring staying on. Was it connected to a clock? If it was you have to make a separate switch and modify the clock with an inverter to get it to shut off or it stays on forever. Unless the ticks are to fast, then it will burn out. Once pistons come out you can make an off switch by having the piston go across redefine wiring. Hope this helps.Damn auto spell redstone not redefine.
