So I've been rigging up some redstone curcuits for when pistons come out so I can just drop them in and have the machines ready to go. As I was working I realized its a lot harder getting wires to make connections. espeically to repeaters. if they aren't coming in at the same direction as the repeater is placed they just won't activated the repeater.
Also clock mechanisms seem way sloppier (rapid fire switches barely work).
My question was is this just a problem with the Xbox version (its not like this on the PC) or is it because of how old the version is? If so what update fixes the problem?
It's really annoying when you have to extend the wire out and back just to get it facing the right angle so the repeater will recognize it, makes it hard to make compact curcuits.
As for the clocks, I am not sure. I have tried old school clocks with a series of torches on the sides of blocks, and clocks with repeaters and they all burn out eventually. On the PC, a five clock was totally stable until you quit the game. I did pretty much play just single player on the pc, though. Try unchecking the "Online Game" box and see if it gets better.
Also someone was having a problem with pulsers, i tried and they worked for me, further testing though. eventually they would stop and or sometimes just stay on if you went to far away. this is an issue with the xbox i believe cause ive tested in 1.6.6 on pc and they are working fine.

Okay good, I'll just finish up those parts of the curcuit when the update roles around.
I'm guessing a pulser and a rapid fire switch are the same thing. In my world they aren't very reliable, I tried making one to have a machine gun dispenser and sometimes it would work, other times it would work for 5 seconds and quit and others it would work at only like a 4th the speed it was supposed to.
Was mostly hoping someone would tell me that they was also going to be fixed in July.
Hi, have you tried using a block to "turn" the signal in to, or out of a repeater? Works for me in my clock, have two lines of repeaters with an inverter one end and two blocks the other, each with redstone on. Although the redstone wire appears to run "past" the repeaters, i think it just joins the two blocks, which allows a signal to turn back up the loop. At the other end the block and torch return it back down, the timer will not be active at game start but can be enabled/disabled by sending a power signal to the torch. I've not tested how fast it can be set to pulse though, i use about 6 repeaters. Anyway HTH
from trial and error what I have found so far is that if the line is going into the repeater but is not line up the repeater will not start. However, if the repeater is lit up and the line coming off is going the wrong way it will still work.
basically this does not work.
