I am curious how this can happen. On friday night I had three people join a game who where not friends and not invited. I shut the game down since I wanted to protect my world. I do not play alot online so I am just wondering how this could happen. Since then I have switched to invite only without any surprise vistors. Any thoughts?

If your game is not invite only and is still online, people can just join session in progress. When people on your friends list join into your game, Their friends can join off of them and come into your game. Keep it offline, or invite only to avoid random joiners.

Also, if you've played with anyone on another game who has Minecraft, those people can join your game through the Previously Played With list. So if you play with some random person on say Battlefield 3 multiplayer, and that person has Minecraft, all he has to do is join your game from the previously played list in the Xbox Guide.

If you happen to leave your map open, and walk away for a bit, check your friend list, last players played. Can help you decide if you wanna take a look around, reload, or keep going. I always save before walking away, and when coming back, check this list.

And yeah, it is surprising to see stranger join your map given the current setup.

Also keep in mind, if you're high on leaderboards, people tend to just look at random profiles and message them or join their worlds.

I've gotten quite a few messages from people I don't even know asking about seeing my slime farms and such. I tend to just ignore them.

I always play alone and on invite only, so I haven't had any experience with intrusions. I suggest you do the same, like everyone says.

Thanks mcangus that must be it. The only other games I have played on line where bf2 and bf3. With bf3 when it first came out I tried the coop a few times.
