Currently you cannot. I think they came out in one of the 1.2 updates. I know it is after 1.8.
Yes, it did. It came out in one of the 1.2 snapshots. since we are getting 1.2.3 eventually, that is when we will obtain the ability to put slabs upside down on ceilings.
Yea. I remember recently watching a CaptainSparklez snapshot update recently and he was talking about placing half slabs on top, it came out with using string as booby traps and stuff like that. So yea, we'll probably get it in the update after 1.8. But who knows.
