I'm setting up a new house in MCX360, but right now I'm encountering an annoying problem. The entrance to my house is two doors, side by side. I can place the pressure plates for one door correctly (One on inside of house, another on outside) and it works no problem. However, when I place the other pressure plates down, the door automatically opens, and stepping on the pressure plate closes the door. How can I avoid this problem?
When you put down a door, it's placed in its closed position. Try putting the door down in the frame so that the closed position is against the wall, and the open position actually appears as closed to you. See if the plates work like that.
Won't do. one door probably your left one, depending on what direction your facing. As soon as you place redstonce underneath or pressure in front you'll have a door open.. sucks I know.
The solution is to place your pressure plate three blocks away from the doors, dig and invert with redstone torch on the open door. thus it's closed before pressure plate power. dig down and invert.
I tend to pressure plate indoors and leave the outdoors entrance manual. No sense in make it convenient for mobs. Door will close behind you., open when you leave.
