I just downloaded MC for xbox 360 and have been unable to get a multiplayer game going. I have an older HDTV, but have installed a component cable, and the game shows a 2-player split screen option, which I have checked, but when I invite another local player into the game, and they accept, I still don't get a split screen. Any suggestions?
You need to go to the xbox dashboard and scroll all the way right and make sure your settings are at least at 720P. Also make sure your switch on the video cable is switched to HD. When you get to the main minecraft screen, make sure both controllers are on. Next, just start up a game and it will go to an extra screen where both of you can sign in.
When I go into caves and mine deep I have to play on peaceful because a spider surprising me will make me not want to play for a month and very paranoid.
