^ I noticed you can use rails and spider web too.. I always fill up three bottom layers with dirt. Then I remove two layers of dirt and then place rails or spider web on bottom of the floor. Then I go fill mold with sand then if I don't want height to be top of the sea then I place roof its place. After that I go back in using door and start to dig dirt away.
You can use anything transparent and non-cubic. Torches, half slabs, fence, bed, sapling, etc.
