Pumpkins can't be farmed yet, but when pumpkin seeds are added, you'll be able to.
Flowers can't be farmed the same way wheat or mushrooms are farmed, but you can renew flowers by using bonemeals on grass.
Once 1.8.2, the adventure update, is released you'll be able to farm pumpkins by using pumpkin seeds. They can be found in mineshaft chests or can be gained by putting a pumpkin in your 2x2 crafting slot.
There is no way to farm flowers, not even in the current PC version. You can, like ChikkaBowWow said, use bonemeal (crafted by putting bones in your 2x2 crafting slot) on grass to create both flowers and tall grass.
More importantly, yes they can be worn on your head.
lol And the vision effects while wearing it is awesome! Kind of hard to see what your doing and where your going, but thats a fair price to pay when you know you look great!

Plus when they add Enderman you'll be able to stare at them w/a pumpkin head on.
1) Have a flat area of GRASS. Say 10x10ish
2) Build a dirt house. Say 9x9x4 (COMPLETLY ENCLOSED) (COMPLETLY DARK INSIDE)
3) Be inside the dirt house and bone meal the ground. (Repeatedly)
If you haven't figured it out by now, the grass and flowers will auto-pop because it is too dark for grass to grow.
When your done just tear the crappy dirt house down. If you plan on re-using your seed boxing area you should place torches/jackolanterns so that the grass doesn't die while your gone.
What about flowers?
