I get into the portal to leave the Nther and I see the swirl animation.
The game then presents the Leaving Nether confirmation.
After 5 seconds of displauying that same message and hearing the music playing, the game freezes.
If anyone has a fix that would be great seeing as this is the very forst world I made on day one and I have put 20+ hours of work into it. It will probably be fixed when 1.7 comes out but that could take forever knowing Micro$oft.
This is because of a bug with saving in the nether. Whenever you go into the nether, turn autosave off. As for right now, your only answer is to kill your character in the nether so that you respawn in the overworld. Hope you don't have too many valuables on you.
As an aside, 1.7.3 is scheduled for early July.
Also if you have wood with you make a chest and put your items in there. After doing that jump into lava or something. Once you respawn in the overworld go back into the Nether and grab your items and leave.
