I was luring a creeper and a skele into a pit for a disc, and the spider butt-rammed the skele and it formed this, True story. Guess they have to 'collide' into each other, makes sense....
Yes they do. I have a mob spawner and a spider was at the bottom level and a skeleton came and landed on top of it and formed a spider jockey
