My friends and i have been making this really cool server for all of our friends. It is becoming a week long project and it is very good. I have started to becoming concerned with a thought that i have been pondering in my head. Will this server work with new updates?
That is really my main question, but if/when seeds are grown will that be compatable with our server. Such as other things like jungle biome.
No. you will not have any Jungle biomes or anything, Unless... you havnt exlored your whole map yet. 4J studios said that if you havnt explored your whole map, then the new updates will be transfered into the new chunks. New features, however, such as pistons, shears, brewing, enchantments, experience, etc. can all be retroactively applied to your old worlds. If your current world has pumkins on it, you'll be able to harvest pumpkin seeds with them after those have been added to the game.

I believe he means the size of the world, in which case, 4J is looking into getting us larger world sizes. Most of us agree that 864x864 won't be adequate once we get new terrain generation and additional biomes.
And yea, if you hade to start a new map for craftible items like pistons, I would rage quit Minercaft and burn my Xbox. well... maybe not that dramatic, but you get the point.
