The only option right now (granted it is a very expensive one) is buy a separate xbox and run it solely as a server (just leave it on 24/7 and put the character somewhere where he is not in the way.) But this requires another xbl gold membership as well as an extra xbox.
That or leave your current xbox on all the time, however you run the risk of damage either way.
Give it a try but, NO....... The only way is to have your game ON and running the world you wanna share. Sorry. Maybe there will be other options in the future...
No, the games saves are on the xbox, not the email address. The only thing sharing an email account would do is allow your friends to sign in with that account, not have access to your game saves.
I have read on the forums that 4J is looking into adding server rentals, however it is just that.. they are looking into it, no yes or no's as of yet.
I think I might have another answer(I ahve not tested it yet, but it should work.). Buy one of those 8GB flashdrives for the Xbox. Go into your settings and look at save settings. find the one where your world is located, and choose to copy it onto the flasdrive. just give that flashdrive to your friend and let him download it onto his Xbox.
Gamesaves are tied to gamertags. The friend would have to log in with your gamertag, not to mention you would have to get the usb back in order to play the updated world(what the friend did).
Sharing worlds is so utterly pointless right now. The only way to do it is to mod the save file which is against the Xbox Live Terms of Service you agreed to when signing up for Live. Plus, if you gave your friend your world and hem ade changes to it, you'd have to get that world back from him and put it back on your hard drive, link it back to your gamertag, just to have the newer world.
Complete waste of time in my opinion. 4Jhas said that map sharing is one of the things they are looking into right now but they aren't making promises. Their main priority is to get the game update to be closer to the PC, then they'll work on all this other stuff.

No worries bud, it's a good in theory and I see where you were going with it, but the way gamesaves/gamertag link works there is no way to do it.
