And apparently there's 40 skins in this pack, that's very different from the 5 they had made it out to be. For $2? Hell yes I'm buying it.

My name is Ozymandias, king of kings. Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Don't know how much the game cost on Pc I think 25-30 bucks so I'm not complaining till if invested as much as it cost on Pc. As of now we all are 20 bucks in. I think 80ms is same as a dollar so getting the skins at
160ms or 2 bucks is fine.
I don't care if I have to pay for dlc really I just think it's the same as any other game that has DLC. Takes time and effort for them to do it so i don't mind paying.
The thing with Microsoft is that you need permission to show anything on their console. Microsoft won't let someone do something like Mario and/or Zelda's characters, for example, in the "Skin Editor". They don't have the rights to use the images. With DLC they can control their content.
The money you pay for the skins probably is for the work AND for the licenses of the characters like Master Chief and Carmine.
As it has been said before, there will probably never ever be a "custom skin creator" for Xbox, for two reasons:
1) Copyright infringement issues.
2) You all know damn well that within 15 minutes of it's release, every 12-year-old on XBox Live will be running around in Minecraft with dicks and boobies and 5 monkey-asses and scrotums on their foreheads and God knows what else.
Ain't. Gonna. Happen.
So in other words, we'd have a lot of d*ckheads running around Minecraft?
This is the motto of Generation: Entitlement right here. I'm not saying you are of this age bracket, but kids these days demand that everything be handed to them because they apparently deserve it just for being born. I blame the parents that are my age for spoiling their little brats, never disciplining them or teaching them any values in life.
I hope you're not saying all kids are like that because being of the age group I think you're talking about I strongly disagree with you. My friends and I do not act like that. My mom and brother discipline me all the time. When I get a game/anything my mom usually makes me do extra work around the house to payback.
Im not saying all kids are saints ,believe me i know some who are complete Douches, but next time be more considerate of non-douchey children out there.
Anyway, I think we should pay for DLC because
1. They only cost 160 msp.
2. 4j worked on it.
3. The update are free.

what about games like forza, where you basically make any kind of design you could think of and put it on a car?
Biased to un-Biased dummies, you guys get hectic and annoying and try to prove a point to sound intellectually greater than what you know you are, just stop it(;
Everyone is watching.

As I said in another thread about this subject, I believe that's just due to an economy of scale. Forza is backed by a very large company which would be able to employ full time people to handle complaints about objectionable content, and police it. Minecraft doesn't have that sort of backing, and Microsoft most likely wouldn't allow custom anything without some kind of enforcement of content policies and so forth.
As for Zelda and Mario - I don't think you would actually get in trouble for using these in a custom skin, it's just that 4J aren't allowed to *sell* something like this without licensing the characters. In the case of Zelda and Mario, Nintendo are very tight about who gets to use them, but they won't (and probably legally couldn't) stop people making their own for personal use - e.g. Nintendo aren't about to start suing people for making Mario pixel art in Minecraft.
Sweet. A free lesson on how to use asterisks! I've got my pen and paper ready. Go on...
And to stay on topic, this comic sums up my feelings when I read posts complaining about paying a small fee for DLC. How I Feel About Paying for Apps (just replace the word "Apps" with "DLC" and the word "I" with "you" for this argument)
1
Omit letters in your sentence. Sometimes when it is necessary to omit certain words--such as obscene or profane words which are unprintable--you can use asterisks to show that letters have been omitted.
2
Put in asterisks when you want to reference a source. An asterisk tells the reader to look for the reference source elsewhere. Usually when writing a long paper with multiple references you would use numbers to reference sources, but if you only have one or two sources, you can use asterisks.
3
Use asterisks when you are omitting words from a quote; for example, "One nation *** our nation."
4
Insert asterisks when making a list. Asterisks can be used in place of other symbols when making a list. There is an example in the resource section.
5
Place asterisks in sentences when you want to make a point and italics aren't available.
6
Rate movies and restaurants. When used in ratings, you can use multiple asterisks to indicate your preferences. More asterisks mean the more you liked it.
7
Write your resume. Use asterisks in your resume instead of bullets, it will make it stand out and give you a better chance of getting your foot in the door.
8
Understand the spacing when using asterisks. No space is used in reference sources. Space twice after an asterisk when it is at the end of a sentence. Space once after a single asterisk when it is within a sentence. Space once before and after each asterisk when you use asterisks to show an omission of a paragraph--usually three asterisks are used. When you are using asterisks to show omitted letters you don't use spaces.
As I said before Console users need to accept that not all platforms are on the same level.
i agree , free like all every one wants is damn money these days like Microsoft they just want more money make the dlc free
yeah that thing your using to read this right now is probably made by microsoft it just that pc has better options when it comes to content and always will.

No. I didn't mean to lump all kids into Generation: Entitlement. But, you have to admit, most these days are like this (especially those on video game forums). I applaud your family for raising you in a proper fashion and judging by your post, they seem to have done a decent job thus far. You don't expect everything to just be handed to you... unlike a lot of the replies in this thread.

A perfect example of the "Gimme It All... Now!... For Free!!" generation.
As i've said before, Mojang is like a drug dealer. Gets us hooked with "free" stuff, and then we (well, some of us) get all upset when we're asked to pay anything. Why this only applies to Minecraft I don't know. It doesn't work like this anywhere else. I can't go into any business and walk out with something without paying for it. But Mojang has gotten us spoiled rotten and for some reason we just assume anything having to do with Minecraft should be free (even if it's made by another company).
Continuing:
Actually Mojang has never given anything away for free except for updates. All these cutsie-wootisie skins, texture packs, and mods you guys love... other people have made them and given them away for free (the idiots- obviously they're not trying to run a business).
If I was Mojang, I'd stop development of MC right now. I'd improve the graphics, etc., and hold off while I combine the next 2-3 upgrades, and then come out with a "new" game, Minecraft II.... and make you all buy it all over again.
That would wake the forums up!
