As I said, a room 50 by 50 with a 4 block high wall, light it up and you will get slime, nothing lucky about it. 10% of all blocks are slime spawners. All that other stuff is just superstitious ritual.
And it's a no duh that if you have a seed you can put it in to that site. But you don't really need it...
Your room is only three blocks high and not 50 by 50. Also you are not four blocks above bedrock. Bedrock is not a slimespawner.

I've dug out 5 separate rooms at this point, all of them were slime chunks and all of them were below level 16 but not one slime spawned. what i'm noticing is that every time i go to a slime chunk there is a MASSIVE cave system there, and whether i leave the caves alone or light them up, i haven't seen one slime spawn. i have a 16x54x4 room made up of 3 slime chunks side by side, lit up as well as possible, and nothing showed up except one skeleton lol. any ideas or suggestions?

Just so I dont mess this up I need confirmation lol.
I typed in my seed and I found 3 Slime chunk squares in a row (64,-64 to 80,-48. 80,-64 to 96,-48 and 96, -64 to 112,-48)
Would it just be trial and error to find out how deep they are or do they spawn from 16 blocks below sea level?
They would be in the Y level of 16 or lower in your map. Almost right above bedrock.

Are you sure you lit up surrounding caves in the general area? Have you checked other caves nearby and lit up the ground as well?

the the area that is 16x54 is that specific dimension because there are three 16x16 slime chunks in a row, so i simply dug out all three. i have 3 or 4 others that are 16x16.
i'm using torches in all of the rooms, no torches on the floor, but i did put some in the ceiling in at least two of them so the middle of the room was lit well. they are inside the ceiling, not hanging down.
the y level for the floor ranges from 0 to 10 in the different rooms. each time i made a new area i tried to change the y level just a little to see if it worked better. but nothing above 16, and only one on bedrock. the others are 4-10.
no i'm not playing on peaceful lol. what i've done is dig the rooms on peaceful, then switch it to hard and wait (more than 24 blocks away), then after about 15 minutes i'll go check for them. i also played on easy for about 2 hours and went back to check and still nothing.
as far as the caves are concerned, i have't lit the surrounding ones up entirely because of how ridiculously large they are. i go in with two full stacks of torches and it's still not enough. i think flooding is going to be the way to go.
the co's match exactly the slime chunks that the slime finder gave me. i just dig out the entire 16x16 square. for example the first one i tried was 32,16 to 48, 32. i dug out the whole thing. my seed is Seedle or -906230870

That is not the center point. It's actually the corner of the slime chunk. So from the corner (-192,-384) dig all the way to other corner (-208,-400) Dont be mistaken because it's not the middle.

We found one while hollowing out the room and then we found another that wasn't even close to where the slime chunk is at.
The numbers good, the name isn't(gives a dif num), that's why I hafta ask.
