Great slime guide I would have read this guide if I knew it was here, lol. Well unfortuantly I made a slime farm so no slimes spawned sadly then I discovered a monster spawner next to it then for a wierd reason I moved to the other corner of the map and put a slime farm there I made sure there was no monster spawners so then I waited and waited and then I went down there one day and at the least 6 big slimes probally 10s of littles and no mediums.

FayzedNZ: I intend for my thread to be about more than slime. I just posted the slime thing first because I was messing around with that recently. My thread is for 'noobs'. If you got a stupid question, I want it in my thread. Think of it as a secretary. You ask me, and I find it, or point you in the right direction, or if I know what the deal is I'll help right there. So if anyone is reading this, thinking 'wow, this is over my head' or 'what about THIS?', then hop on over to my only topic and ask away. I can put things in 'noob' terms. I consider myself a noob helping noobs, so...yeah. I think I'm done rambling. And thanks again FayzedNZ for this awesome slime-o-pedia.

Does the Slime Finder work with world seeds I made in 1.2.5? If so then great! I can make a slime farm and get slimeballs! Does it affect it if the seed was on 1.2.5 because slimeapp doesn't work for me anymore.

Well I am going to use this well done tutorial so to speak and start my slime chunk. Not quite sure if I landed on a good one but I hit bedrock mining the other day so I will set up a spawning pad 5 above from bedrock and see how that works out.

I have helped a friend using this method before when he used a chunk finder and it worked perfectly, slimes spawned within an hour or so on his world. I will post back with results if everything works out in good order.

Oh thanks by slimeapp isnt working I mean it won't generate the chunks only the slimefinder you provided works.

thankyouthankyouthankyouuuuuuu for this thread. i actually pulled it off and got some slimes. been trying to slime farm recently and haven't ever been able to properly do it and get them to spawn. this worked perfect.

now i can finally start messing with redstone/sticky pistons and...fail miserably. >_>

I finished my Slime farm but it doesn't make slimes... I have all the caves lighted up basically and only 0/12 entities >.< why is it so slow when no mobs?

True yes I know that but there is like 0/10 entities and I don't see anymore caves near my slime farm. I will try filling up the dark spots.

Edit: I am just going to do a bunch of things to try increase the slime spawning on the pads so don't reply to me I am gone now. I am going to work this out on my own now.

So ive got everything i need ready and such but I went to the mapping site and i type in the seed and my location yet the map just stays blank. Any ideas why?

Haha in 1.8 people will get so tired of slimes in superflat mode

Great tutorial, helped a good bit once I found the slimey fools.

Did not have to use the slime finder this go around as I found slimes when I started my strip mining. Dug out the area to 30x30 even if its just 1 single chunk.

Sat there for an hour last night going back and forth in my tunnels, had a stack of slimes in no time.

Hey Fayzed, I was wondering since the update came out will the slime finder still work in 1.8.2? I know its possible to just switch in between creative and survival but slime farms are still something I use.
