If you need help locating slime chunks, send me a message via xbox. I will need your seed # and I can give you the correct X coords/Z coords for your slime farm. You can pick the largest slime chunks on your map or the closest 2-3 block chunks near your current buildings.
At Fayzed's suggestion, I'm posting a photo of the slime that spawned in my slime room this morning.
If you are wondering if the slime finder extension works, it does. Just dig down to bedrock and hollow out a large room, mine is three chunks long and two wide because I had three spawning grounds in a row that I was after. It was well worth the time investment. Once you're done digging, play with the lighting and then just wait.
I am a Minecraft tourist. I am currently unavailable under the XBoxLIVE ID listed here but can be found under ZombieL0C0. If you see me online playing Minecraft, send a message and I will gladly take a stroll through your world.
I keep hearing a "spattering" sound. When I first entered this area, I noticed a fairly high ledge (maybe another room) above me. The sound seems louder in this area; occasional bits of green goo would come shooting over the ledge. I've tried getting up in this area and can't find the source of either phenomenon. I still hear the sound effect but I but see the goo anymore. Any ideas what I've found? I can't find any references to sounds effects in the wiki.
The splattering is the sound slimes make, the green stuff is from them it drops through 1 block. So there was slimes up/or around that area. Just clear it out more.
Hey guys. Ive built this massive room. As i didnt know how to find slime chunks but now ive found out there are two in this room yet none are spawning. Any ideas?
The reasons none are probably not spawning are back on the first post.
Caves need to be lit up nearby. People dont realize mobs still spawn further away than they think. There could be a cave the opposite direction of your waiting room this would hinder your slime farm.
And waiting further enough away. These are the main two problems people are having.

The very first slime chunk I dug out on xbox 360 (alpha stages )
Next one from me and my partners world. Just a single chunk
Never put much work into them to make them look fancy or anything its just a shared world with my partner nothing big.
The channel drowns them and splits them to smallers slimes which then are transported through a series of water canals and ladders to a point in our base.
Also never got around to finishing mine, I got more than enough slimes balls to not continue working on it for awhile.
Features: 6 Chunk Slime farm, 5 of which can spawn Slimes AFK Shack Minecart track around Slime Farm Minecart to slime farm Glass wall for easy viewing Screen Shot:
Sorry for being a noob but how do I know what the co ordinates are I know they are on my map but the x to x confuses me
The coordinate system doesn't start counting in the top left corner of the world/map as one might assume, but in the center. So, the center of the map is X 0, Y 65 (at sea level), Z 0. If you move to the east (right on the map), the X coordinate increases, and decreases if you move west (left on map). So if you move west past the world's center, the X coordinate becomes negative. Same thing happens with the Z coordinate; it increases if you move south (down on map), and decreases and eventually becomes negative if you move north (up on map). Hope that helps.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
Heres a question. I have coordinates of -304,304 to -288,320 how exactly do I use those coordinates? Also which of those numbers do I use?
I have already dug to 320, but not really sure which direction to dig. been at bedrock for awhile now. already have a area that is 430 positive and negative which is the edge of the map, well a corner of it.
I am planning on digging out the complete underground

the x to x is where you dig out. So you would goto x -64 on your map and dig out until you reach x -32.
Same thing for the z to z. This will give you an outline of your chunks. Then then have to dig out everything inside the square you just made.

Be good to know the rough co-ords where you want your farm. No point giving you co-ords if its going to be on the other side of the map

Retired StaffWhats the seed and the rough co-ords you're looking to want a slime farm.
eg: 64 x, 48 z to 80 x, 64 z
Ive just marked out most of the chunks near where you wanted. You may take your pick.
