Me and my friends are creating an area to make obsidian. We are using water flowing down from an area and we are trying to make it so that we can open and close it with trapdoors. The trapdoors are working as a full block barrier instead of a door that opens and closes. Is this even possible with trap doors or will it work in some other configuration?
Water can't flow through open trap doors. It would be easy to solve with pistons, whenever they are released. Not sure what you could do until then, though.
Well that is a bit disappointing. I have been playing Minecraft for about a year now (on PC and more recently XBL) and never done anything with Redstone or anything outside just normal materials. I got it all setup and working, let the water flow and hit the switch, and nothing happened. I was really bummed lol.
