My friend and I were caving and he found a dungeon with a golden apple inside, I remeber hearing that those were supper rare so I offered him 32 diamonds for it he happily accepted thinking it was a piece of crap. Now the other day he found another one... how rare are they exactly? and what are the chances of finding two on a map.


Also was I stupid to pay him 32 diamonds for a golden apple? know that I collect dungeon items and other rares.

They only have a 0.7% chance of spawning in a dungeon chest. (taken from Wiki)
So it is quite rare to find two of them in one game.

And I would have payed 32 diamonds for a Golden Apple.

Yeah im too scared to eat it also how much do cookies heal? I have like 200kk good so I didn't scam myself out of diamonds also we've only found about 12 dungeons so far, about how many are typically on a map?

I have yet to find one golden apple. in fact, in the PC version, the only time I ever found one was in creative!

That sounds like a lot to me. I've only found 3, but you've probably done more exploring underground than I have.

i would save it for when you need it. or save and duplicate it.If you get a duped stack of 255, you can survive in lava by continually eating them as you swim through it like water. Very usefull for clearing the lava ocean in the nether.

I have yet to find a Golden apple(didn't know they existed in XBOX MC) and yet to find more than 3 dungeons on 1 map. I thought there was only 1 dungeon per map. ARe there really more than 1 on every map or just certain ones? Also we can't craft gold into golden nuggets yet right? or crafting golden apples?

That's right. I forgot there were no apples but 7or 8 dungeons you say? I'll have to do some more digging(literally)

It's rare, but really damn impractical. Just the shiny analogue of 3.3 bread slices (we're talking about X360 version here, so it doesn't even have a regeneration buff). Worth 3-5 diamonds just for aesthetics.
