There have been SEVERAL arguments on these boards concerning the merit of a person's work and their final structure/piece. I would NEVER tell someone how to enjoy their game. BUT, I will weigh in on the duping versus legit argument from another perspective. Duping certainly doesn't take away from the creative process and finished product, BUT, when some materials are scarce, used only to accent certain parts of buildings, it gives that "oooo" "ahhhh" effect. Only certain buildings get some love!
Agreed. I am working on my new house in my main server. Five rooms will have flooring of Moss Stone, two will have Iron Blocks for floors, one room of Lapis Lazuli Blocks as the carpet, and the door frame into the structure made out of Diamond Blocks. With the duplication glitch in place, other players do not get the special aura of awesomeness because they think that I used it.
Now, if I just duplicated rare things to make it out of, that "oooo" "ahhhh" effect would be decreased in energy and meaning.

The other 8 rooms have lodgings of Stone Slabs, Stone, and Cobblestone.
All of the walls are made of Stone.
Each of those 16 enclosed areas are 9x9x7.
Overall, this is 17 meters tall(not counting the pool on the roof)
Now, if I just duplicated rare things to make it out of, that "oooo" "ahhhh" effect would be decreased in energy and meaning.
