Have some canals they're pushed into which lead to a point so they're all in one spot. You would want them to come into some sort of drowner though to split them up into little ones. Also little slimes will climb ladders (up to 15 blocks high i think) So you could have your drowner to make them into smaller slimes, have the small slimes pushed to a ladder they would climb up to a killing point. =P
I had some slime pits that worked really well, but after building this thing I'm swimming in slime. Mine's almost twice the size, due to starting before seeing this video, but should work the same.

Seatbelts are not as confining as Wheelchairs. Buckle up.

No. It's just his end killing device.
Mine leads to a small enclosed room next to my mob grinder collection. I just use a pressure plate to open the door and the room's got 3 block thick walls...you know why when you build one.
You don't need pistons. I find it's more important getting the slimes then how you kill them.
It is indeed a massive undertaking, but the diamonds you find, and the never ending flow of slime made it all worth it.

Ok one more question...my slimes are on bedrock now, can I build the floor up a couple blocks so i can make the channels and will they still spawn?

It says you need sticky pistons for that setup?
