Since the xbox worlds are comparably finite to the PC version, many worlds are lacking in some resources such as sugar cane or cacti. Naturally this is a problem is it not? Especially for those who want to be creative.
Anyway, why dont we make it so that bonemeal will grow a single block of cacti or sugar cane.
Naturally the limitations need to be the same, Sugar Cane can only grow if you bonemeal a dirt block that's next to water. And cacti can only grow on sand blocks.
Would be a nice, simple solution to people missing certain blocks.
Due to the limited size of the xbox worlds it is possible to have a world with no desert biomes and therefor no cacti. I've never actually seen a world without sugarcane, although I'm sure it's possible. The OP is just suggesting sometthing to alleviate this problem besides starting new world.
ok first i would like to apologise to the creator of this thread i thought everymap had desert snow etc so using the bonemeal to create some is a good idear sorry again like i said fairly new and still learning.
its all good but yea ive seen more than one world without cacti and hte only reason I have any sugar cane iin another world is because I was able to find one plant and re-plant it and I since havent found any more wild sugar cane.

How do either of these items enable creativity?
Sugar doesn't really do much at the moment. Cacti can't be placed like a normal block, although it can be used to dye wool green. Makeshift bamboo and green blocks = insta-creativity from an epiphany of a sugary cactus?
The lack of these items does seem to be a problem, but I'm not really clear on the relationship between these items and creativity.

Well sugar cane allows you to create paper and sugar which in turn allows you to create books, bookcases, maps, and cakes. Two of my favorite items. Cacti make for great mob traps, and of course the greenest of green dyes. And if you place them right they make nice bits of decoration,
Oh, right, bookcases. Not having those is kind of a bummer. Since they don't actually have a function prior to enchanting, I just figured people could do without them.
Not having bookcases for decorations would be a bummer, though.
Cactus green is used to make three different color dyes; green, lime, and cyan. Possibly four because I can't recall if any of the magenta dye recipes use it.
I have made mulptiple worlds and in every one of them I'm never missing either of those resourses or any other. So I dont se the big deal. But thats just me...
Ive also noticed that in tons of worlds there is no snow or pine trees. Also they need to make a way to make more clay, ive mined all the clay on my world and only got about 500 brick blocks max. They should do like the gravel to clay mod or something to get more clay, besides gravel is useless and there is tons of it.
While I have both Cacti and Sugar Cane, My world doesn't have any snow biomes and so I can't get snow or spruce trees. :/
well if your that concerned about getting them u could use an inventory editor don't get me wrong i don't like using a program to get stuff but some time there a good reason to do it and another thing that i like about it is it isn't noob friendly you have to know some basic to do it that's why i like it
