My world seems to have only one little tiny area filled with snow and on my friends world he has absolutely zero areas for snow. Is this a bug or is it actually possible for this to happen. If it's possible than is their someone who can give me the proper percentages of what will spawn in worlds. The reason I want to know is I can't find any pine wood on my map. My seed is "glacier" so if anyone can show me where to find pine on the world and on the map, I will greatly appreciate it.
If you want a world with lots of snow, use the seed "unggoy" (without the quotations marks). It was one of my first worlds and really has lots of snow. So much snow, in fact, that I started on another world. =D
The seed "pleasenosnow" or "please no snow" (can't remember, sorry; again without quotations marks) produces another snow-rich world, although not as much as the unggoy seed.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
