Im getting a 24in 1080p hd tv for my birthday and i just bought a new 360 but the thing is.If i by mc360 and try to do split screen do i need an hdmi cable to the tv or can i just play since the tv is hd
Both will work. Just make sure if you use a Component Cable, that it's switched to HDTV on the cable itself. Also, remember when you plug your Xbox 360 into an HDTV via one of those cables, ou must go into your Console Settings and change the display to match your TV.

Usually I use component as thats what my capture card takes but HDMI will also work
