So when the XBOX version released and I bought it, I fell in love with it, it was a very nostalgic feeling.. Before I bought the XBOX version, I played MC for only once or twice a week (I played more back then). Then when the XBOX version came out, I've been playing it for at least two hours every session (at least seven or eight times a week).
Now I want to know what other people think. And why you think that? Comment why, and vote which one you like best.
What I Prefer and Why:
To me, I like the XBOX version better. Why you ask? Because it's simple to create a multiplayer server and you get a tutorial for the newer MC players. That's not all either, XBOX lags less, I only get 30-40 FPS at the highest settings when I'm playing the computer version. I also really like the limitations. xD
Yes, it's weird, but it's like when Minecraft use to be Minecraft, you know? Without the hunger bar, new lighting, world generation, etc.. I just really like it, it's likke when I first started Minecraft.
I like both, personally, and I'm not hating on the computer version, I DO play it from time to time on my PC. I know you can downgrade and all that, but I tend to watch the newer MC videos and it makes me want to play a newer version of Minecraft. =P
I like both, PC because of the version its in with more stuff, but I also like the xbox version, being able to kick back in bed with a controller and play MC is awesome.
I'm not sure what I like better. The computer version has mods, texture packs, online servers, and more, but the Xbox version has better controls IMO, easier multiplayer, and more. Overall, I'd say the computer version, but it's close.
The PC version, just because of the limitation you have on the 360 version (no dedicated servers, texture packs, custom skins, mods, etc). However, some key features of the 360 version that I do like over the PC's is (somewhat) the crafting system, smooth FPS (not everyone has a good rig), simple server set up, finally being able to play Minecraft with my other friends, and the use of a controller. Regardless, playing Minecraft on both platforms is great. In a way, I'm stuck between the two, but I'm leaning a bit more towards the PC.
I prefer XBOX. Mostly because the computer version lags like crazy on my computer, and I will almost never play a game that lags at all. It's one of my biggest gaming pet peeves. I also like the controls a bit better on XBOX, and the ability to kick back on my couch with just a controller in my hand is great. When the XBOX gets to 1.2.3 (or the first non-beta computer update, not sure of the exact version, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now), it will be a clear favorite for me, versus me leaning towards XBOX right now.
The PC Version has 32milx32mil worlds, Texture Packs and Mods, and it is at a newer version.
The Xbox 360 Edition has an easy Multiplayer, most of my friends that I actually know commonly appear, and there is no power-saving mode/settings or lag to be seen.
I am probably missing a few factors to each side, but these things are the main factors in my opinion.

thats exactly why i bought the game on xbox. i am in total agreement with you
I like the xbox version a little better. I don't mind not having mods I just wish they would implement a map directory system(or something like that) so that people could upload and download custom maps.
I think both versions have their benefits, however I think I like some of the things that were done on the Xbox better, such as controls and the crafting system. Makes things simple and quick.
I think i like the Xbox version better because you can make a game and have your friends join easier.
Plus i like the feel of a controller in my hands.
Only downside is that the Xbox version doesn't have as much content as the computer version yet.

Retired StaffWhile I love Halo, this isn't really a valid answer, lol. Were you thinking the question is "Which platform is better"?
I am probably missing a few factors to each side, but these things are the main factors in my opinion.

Bueller??? Bueller????

-bigger version
-mods
-texture packs
-infinite worlds
Xbox:
-feels more alive
-more difficult
-Dlc's
-splitscreen
so for me xbox is better after all but pc beign having infinite worlds and mods blocks me for selecting xbox.
Minecraft makes you lose weight if you post in forums and literally shake with anger when someone posts something stupid.
