No price yet, but they've said it will be a mix of known IPs and random skins. Meaning you'll probably see skins of other game characters, and then a bunch of randomly made skins.
Dear god please no. This forum would get flooded with stupid people making threads about how they saw Herobrine. A few already pop up once in a while and they're already annoying. I couldn't imagine how stupid it would be if dozens flocked to the forum.

Exactly. I don't know why people are having such a hard time dealing with that. We are no longer dealing with the nice Mojang team. We are now deling with one of the big dogs who wants money anywhere they can get it, which makes good business. They know people will buy things like skins, so they charge money for them. Besides, you can get a few skins free from the packs like 4J have said. It's just that the majority of them are going to need to be paid for.
Well they obviously can't make the skins too overpriced or people would not buy them, so to the people whining about buying them.
They will most likely cost the same amount as some stupid thing for your xbox avatar. Also someone said 40+ per a pack so stop whining I guarantee you won't even use 10 of the skins for at least a year.

As far as cost vs free, look at the prices in the avatar market place M$ KNOWS people will pay for vanity.For the cost of packs Im sure it wont be outrageous, Magic 2012 deck packs for instance are 240.
I do think 40 skins per pack is a cheap way to gouge more money,most people will buy them for one or two in the pack.
