This sounds really cool, I would love if they did a competition to have a user created skin put into the game, or maybe a few user created skins. Sort of like how TF2 do it with hats.
That would be pretty cool. It would give the chance for the community to feel somewhat of the same understanding and support that the PC community has.
Think about it though. This is Microsoft we're talking about. Why would they give you something you can use to make free skins for yourself and others, when they can charge you money for them?
Microsoft isn't stupid. It's good business. There is a huge demand for skins and they know they are sitting on a gold mine because people will pay for them.
I was hoping for a way to link our XBLA Minecraft with our PC accounts, make skins with the existing skin creator online and send our custom skins to our Xbox Live accounts.

I think they are looking at using a lot of Xbox game characters. They said on their twitter that they were looking at known IP (intellectual properties) for skins.
I want me a Master Chief skin.

He's a slacker jack and he's okay, he games all night and he sleeps all day.
There seems to be a demand for the skins but I just can't justify paying for something that I don't even see ( except when I get startled by a creeper accidentally switching to third person) Besides, everyone looks the same wearing iron armor. Now texture packs, that's what I'm waiting for.

The real question is will we beable to pick what skin we want to use?
I hope that's sarcasm because the answer is kind of obvious. 4j has already said that before Skin DLC, you'll be able to pick which of the 8 pre-made skins you can be.
I'm also pretty sure that they'll let you choose from the 40+ skins you buy. It would be the stupidest move to have you buy that many skins and the game won't let you choose which one you want to be.

Surely not. The GAME only cost 1600 MSP.
I think skins would be cool, but I'd MUCH rather have some of the awesome texture packs I see on the PC version.
800-1600 points is just unrealistic. The high cost wouldn't make up for the hurt sales.

I cant wait either, but if the skin packs codt more than 400 Microsoft Points, you can count me out. although I wouldnt dout it for 40+ skins.
