Nooo! Don't change the creeper spawn rate lol I love going out in the morning and hunting those baddies down. I do admit they seem to blow up alot farther away on the xbox then the PC, however I have figured out how to hit and run quickly enough to where they won't blow up. Just had to change tactics a bit from the PC.
LOL @ Twig, your best bet there is to join em.. drop a few tnt block and give them a taste of their own medicine
The mob spawn rate is great. Yes, there are a lot of enemies all over, and yes, creepers in packs are a pain, but it's supposed to be a survival game. If not for the large numbers of enemies, what would be the point? And if you say that you just like to build, then play on peaceful. Problem solved.
And to the poster that said they just sleep right away, I've done that too. Went over 5 game days without seeing a single enemy because I slept as soon as it was possible. Just stay up when you want to fight mobs, or sleep to keep it relatively safe outside.
As far as the difficulty in killing creepers, if you can't do it with a sword, which is difficult, but possible, avoid them until you have a bow and some arrows. Consider it a leveling system. At first, you should avoid them, but as you "level up" by acquiring better equipment, you can start to take on more and more enemies at a time.
I'm not trying to start an argument here, just thought I'd get my opinion out there before 4J decides that the spawn rate needs to be reduced.

No, that's not everything I'm saying, I'm also saying that you'll go for prolonged periods without mobs at all (at least for 2p splitscreen). It might be intended to be that way, I dunno. Also when I choose to play on normal I don't expect to be swarmed with tons of mobs just because my 7 girlfriends joined the game (ok, ok, I wish... just saying that difficulty level shouldnt scale with the number of players, at least not within the same chunk and nearby chunks).
So I think what should be happening is the mob cap goes from 80 to 160 (2 players) and scale by 80 for each player per chunk. If they're in different chunks, it should still be up to 80 per chunk.
Anyone know if that's right?
So if I start in with 8 players, you're saying that you think the caps don't go back down? So I would potentially have a 320 mob cap in single player? Because I want this.
The lack of mobs for a while could be explained by them possibly spawning below you in caverns.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
