Personally, I really think that mods should never be added to the Xbox edition of minecraft. The Xbox version is the only place free of modifications and the only place protected by Microsoft to ban all cheating and modding.

You realize that single-player minecraft can be free of mods if you wish. That being said, I doubt anything related to mods will be implemented, and nothing nearly as free as the computer version. At best, a handful of Mojang sponsored DLC mods will be available, but that's unlikely...

You do realize that, in the PC world, modding is not only a good thing, but a massive boost in the value and longevity of a game? Bethesda can thank, nearly entirely, its success on the powerful and gifted mod community that lives for their games. To such a point that they release construction packs with their games, on the PC, just to ensure that players continue to give their games free extra content for years? For minecraft, this is even greater. Now, yes, some are just plain silly. But for each game breaking mod there are 2 Mo Creatures, Hack/Mine, Millenaire, and other mods that give so much to the game that Mojang should practically be paying these guys.
Mo' Creatures alone turns an incredible game into a living world. I love minecraft, but I'll admit that playing without it makes everything feel so empty. I was used to having birds flying around and deer hopping through the trees. More daytime, natural aggressive mobs too.
At Gishgeron: very well put! I have yet to see a more valid reasoning on mods from anyone, for any single game without some sort of name calling, or profanity.
I have a feeling no user created mods will ever be added to MCX but if any mods at all are, it'll be selected mods from the Mojang/4J teams that they choose.
the answers to the poll speak as though mods are going to be available one day lol we're never getting mods on xbox. thats something microsoft simply won't allow and there's no persuading otherwise. there also needs to be an "i don't care" option because mods are a good thing, but i won't ever use them.
