Hey guys, I have seen a few posts about this subject, but they are all mixed answers. Will the upcoming update, and future updates, be free?

I heard that Notch had to really push hard to get a certain amount of free updates, since Minecraft always has free updates. Does anyone have concrete evidence of wether it will be free or not?

Yes it will always be free. Never again will someone who has bought the game have to buy it again. Don't worry.
