So I was on YouTube and I saw this seed 90210 Nd some guy found 42 diamonds on it is this fake or real. I know he was on the pc but does this seed work for Xbox?

42 diamonds is lowballing it. In a 15x15 square strip mine, I gathered 12 diamonds (excluding those who were possibly snuck out by my corrupt friends haha). These diamonds were gathered from a random location. This doesn't include the 80+ diamonds found in pre-made caves and the dozen more found from random digging. Diamonds are rare, but they aren't as rare as only 42 on a single map. I don't know for sure (as I never played PCs minecraft), but apparently the seeds are different on both versions

Seeds are not different.

Any seed that worked in Beta 1.6.6 on the PC will work on the Xbox version and recreate the exact same map out to 864x864. Obvisouly if someone shows something beyond that range on the PC version of the seed, we'll never see it.

Thanks, but I assume you know this for sure? The guy who told me the seeds are different sounded sure of it. Unfortunately, I cant play both games and see for myself. Thanks for correcting me on this, though. Im glad its no different....I was a little disappointed to hear they were different , at first. I can rest a little easier at night knowing this bit 'o info.

Actually I think we're up to 1.7 seeds arent we? Since we got the clay generation fix I believe that's the only world generation change that comes with 1.7 so we might be able to use the 1.7 seeds now.

You can use any seeds between Beta 1.3 and Beta 1.7.3 for the Xbox Version. they will all work exactly like they did on the PC version. Current seeds will become useless when the Xbox version becomes equivalent to 1.8.2.

Yes, I'm 100% sure. The seeds I use for my world come from a PC seed site. I get most if not all of the same things people from the PC show in screenshots. Any seeds from the Pc that's from 1.3 to 1.7.3 will work exactly the same on the Xbox as it does on the PC. Those seeds will of course stop working once we get to 1.8.2 because terrain generation changes. But luckily, since that has already happend on the PC, we have a large archive of seeds to use.

Hey if anyone could test this seed out for me that would be great the seed is 90210. There is a YouTube video of the diamonds on it.
