I have been working on a city and I don't want to have to restart. When creative come's out will we be able to switch survivle to creative mode?

no, all worlds will be perminantly survival even the pc minecraft doesn't have this ability (unless you use mods)


also its not full release when creative was added it was beta 1.8

4J has said it's something they've been thinking about though. Especially since the Xbox version doesn't have access to 3rd party programs to do it like the PC does.

Maybe, who knows. But they have mentioned on their twitter that they are thinking about it.
