I see a major problem with the upcoming updates for the minecraft xbox 360 edition. What will happen to our worlds once the update( if there will be one) for unlimited sandbox comes out or when the 1.8 update comes out with the new bioms and structures that come with it? Will stay an island? Or will we have to delete our worlds for them?
Any new things that come into the world wont come into old worlds.
For instance if you make a world before mineshafts and ravines come in 1.8 then you will never get mineshafts and ravines in your world. You have to start a new world in order to get the new updates
Well, seeing as how after the bug fix, clay generated in unexplored areas of the map for peoples old pre patch maps. So the same thing should happen for the 1.8.2 update.
Any unexplored section of your world, meaning you haven't set foot there, should generate any new terrain features. As for items, like pistons for 1.7.3, should appear in your old world since htey must be crafted or in some cases found.
