You confuse creativity with functionality, efficiency, and ingenuity. Inventing something for a certain purpose is not simply being creative.

You're the one using contradictory statements to start a thread whose sole product is going to be argument centered around you. Play the game how you want and don't ***** or bash others for how they play. If you really want to dupe you still can, if you want to play with out duping you can. This thread is not about duping. I explain my opinion about survival vs. creative all throughout the thread. Minecraft as it stands right now on 360 has an overrated survival mode. What is so juvenile about that? As long as you are willing to intelligently discuss the difference between survival and creativity, you should have no problem with this thread. Maybe you don't feel like thinking about the game in detail or how you choose to play. So don't post. You just end up flaming or trolling.

You are saying that nobody should play survival,everybody should fly and have unlimited resources and that anything that isn't made without inf resources is not creativity. Just play the game. Previously, I thought this was just telling people who loved Survival Mode that they were the inferior race without imagination or creativity. I don’t. They’re made for sharing stuff (like servers, creations, etc.) depends on what you want.

I'm not simply bashing the way survivalists play minecraft. I only challenge the definition of survival and apply it to the game. Survivalists brag that they accomplish more when all they do are limiting themselves. I don't feel it's really something to brag about.

Would Leonardo feel better about painting the Mona Lisa while standing on his head? I don't really think so. It's not really practical when it comes to being creative. You want the best chance to get the best painting... so why obstruct yourself?

Survival is bound to circumstance: To live or to die. It is parallel to certain guildlines that must be followed in order to succeed. Creativity is free, boundless, with no guildlines. To create while in survival is to create with those guildlines in place and to be restricted to being fully creative. One can argue that it is possible to be creative in survival. But fully creative? Not possible. Not with restrictions, guildlines, and boundaries. Survival is bound by laws such as gravity. Creativity is an endless expression upon an opinion that defies logic. Creativity shouldn't be confussed with invention for a purpose, being efficient, or ingenuity.
I want to know who put you in charge of setting these "guidelines". I will argue that I can be creative in Survival due to the fact that you sit there and tell me that it is impossible. What is there possibly that can put a halt to my creativity? I also want to know about "gravity" you speak of in Minecraft, because last I checked, gravity wasn't a binding law, especially if I can punch a tree at the base, and the rest still stands when I collect it.
I think having Creative mode and Survival mode is just fine. I don't know why people get angry if other people don't play their mode.
The survival people can play the survival and the creative people can play creative. I myself play survival mode because i want a challenge. I don't want to open my inventory and have everything to build with. But it doesn't bother or hurt me if someone likes playing creative. They don't want to spend all the time to collect resources, i do.
