If i wanna dup **** nd "ruin" my game, or take away my "feeling of acomplishment" then thats my problem. i'll make the biggest mansion that i can possibly imagine! hows that for a "feeling of acomplishment? i love exploring the caves and finding the monster spawners as much as the next guy, but lets face it. you'll never have an entire diamond beach for your viewing pleasure, or maybe even a giant golden throne room either. I play games for enjoyment ( no matter how i get it!).

See, that's another problem, is people like you post that like it's a bona fide fact. I'm impressed with the end results of buildings, personally, not with how people get the resources. YOU'RE not impressed by buildings made with resources that weren't ined properly, but plenty of people don't care and only judge the result of how the materials are put together.

People don't build the stuff to be praised (except for the few people who do, because to them receiving praise is a good feeling worth playing for), but they show it off and get praise regardless. What I'm saying is that if it really was a fact that structures made with materials one didn't mine properly aren't impressive, nobody would ever get kudos for anything built in creative mode.

Technically, if its a bug in the game, and you use it, it isnt the way you want to pay in your game its a problem in the game that the game developer did not foresee, and thus ruins their vision of said game. Honestly, I couldnt care less if you go out and mod your 360 to make diamond ore drop 64 diamond blocks, but if there was something that came in the game that wasnt intended to be there, it should be taken care of, and the developers have a right to do so. What if there was a bug that made cobblestone drop diamonds? That is a glitch everyone would love! Until they cant do anything involving cobble. So the developers would need to fix that.

Where did the laziness factor go? Where did the lack of accomplishment go? Creative mode actually makes is much EASIER than using the glitch, yet the people who glitch are lazy and the people who use creative mode are fine minecraft citizens...

The notion that exploiting a beneficial glitch is bad is also your opinion. Not like duping is ruining anything, except for some people's save files, it's not like that's a threat that spreads.
What I don't get is all these people getting their panties in a knot arguing for the dupe glitch. There's one very simple thing here: part of the game does not work as intended - this is the definition of a bug. The fact that it can be used to duplicate items is a happy side effect for those interested in doing it, but it's still a bug, and it will be fixed. There's nothing you or anyone can say that will stop that.
Most of us don't actually care what you do with your game. At all. And if what you did on your own game had zero impact on anyone else, there would be no issue - although the bug would still be fixed, it's a bug after all. You do want bugs to be fixed right? Particularly bugs that will probably cause all sorts of side-effects that you probably aren't even aware or or considering?
The issue with this particular bug is the leaderboards - they are ruined. This is what effects other people, and this is where it becomes an issue.
Once this particular variant of the bug is fixed, then you'll still be able to go and use the dupe glitch, you'll just have to remove the patches and play offline. Tough. Hopefully this way you won't effect the leaderboards in any meaningful way, and everybody's happy, for the most part. Well, except that you can't play with the clay fix, but, well, tough. You want to exploit a bug, that's the price you have to pay. But for God's sake, stop your damn whining! Nobody cares! Or if they do, they shouldn't! Can we stop giving this issue air?

People started duping. Seeing as it's a glitch, many people consider it cheating, so they voice their opinions that it's cheating. This made the dupers butthurt. The butthurt dupers then voiced their opinions back at the original people who consider it cheating, which caused them to get butthurt. Now we have two groups of butthurt people arguing about the same thing back and forth.

Dude get used to it lol. Console kids are a bunch of idiots. They think they know everything and are always liek "console is way better than PC cuz Graphics is bettur." Console kids just don't understand, I'm not sure if it's because they can't afford a PC or are to stupid to understand that they are getting ripped of when they spend $300 on a new PS3/Xbox when you can build a decent computer for that much.
