Because we should experience the game the way you do right?
Well, my experience is that opening the game and choosing "Survival" (or starting a new game on 360) means that "the game" is to survive. On the 360, there is no other option. I accept this.
You're free to get another version of Minecraft (like portable or the PC version) that includes Creative mode. If this option is not adequate, well.... you're out of luck until the update that adds it. It is an unreasonable expectation to be able to will the feature into the game by arguing with people on forums.
BUT... I do have an issue with people saying 'look at this, isn't it cool' when it was built by duping.
LOL ... Because dup'ing designs the building to make it beautiful & functional, duping delicately places every single block of your structure for you and fixes every engineering problem you have along the way? Right???? Right??????????
Dup'ing does absolutely nothing for you apart from handing you the supplies you need to act upon your creativity and imagination... Supplies that in a lot of circumstances would be unattainable (e.g - excessive amounts of blue wool, magenta wool, light blue wool, gray wool, lime wool, pink wool, diamond blocks, gold blocks, glowstone blocks etc).
It doesn't matter how many resources you have, the blocks themselves don't make a building beautiful or functional or creative, it is the PLACEMENT and DESIGN that sets buildings apart, at least for me it is... a 1200x1200 chuck of diamond blocks is NOT impressive, but would be the hardest thing to build "legit"... If your design and skill is bad then your building will still look BAD.
Dup'ing for my latest build took me 15 minutes... Design and Construction of it took me 21+ hours...
It's funny how when creative mode comes along it will all be perfectly acceptable to have unlimited supply of blocks though right? And people should still feel proud of their accomplishments in that! Despite the fact that it's even EASIER to get the supplies than dup'ing is, plus you can cheat the system when placing them because you can fly!
Dup'ing & building = harder to use than creative mode, yet creative mode is fine, dup'ing is baaaaaaad.
Some people on this forum just make no sense... And most of the haters here wouldn't be able to construct anything more than a 10x10 box anyway, so they release their jealousy through the hatred of those that are willing to put their creativity to the test.

I thought I would spend it trying to help someone consider an opinion that they didn't originate. Or just entertain myself inflating a pointless thread.

And I could replicate everything you've done in 21+ hours with MCEdit on the PC version..... so, logically, I can do anything you do better and faster by shifting the rules. Would you feel cheated trying to compare your tiny worlds to my MCEdited world?

You admitted you are angry about duping being removed. I enjoy Minecraft and I would like you to enjoy it as much as I do - and I don't rely on glitches. So I was hoping you could see the perspective of other people and enjoy the game with the rest of us while it becomes a more quality product (quality = less bugs, more legitimate features).

I don't know what's the problem for ignorant people who can't enjoy the game properly if they know that some other guy on this whole friggin world somewhere 1000 kilometers away, dupes some Blocks to build his whatever in a way, that it looks "NICE" to him...
1. The game is called survival and your target is to simply survive... on peacefull??? wtf?? what's the difference in playing on peacefull... or duping ?? If you play it on peacefull you just want to get your beloved blocks (for example I LOVE Lapis Lazui Blocks for roofs, because BLUE is my <3 Colour). If you think about it, there is a 100% chance you will get these if you play it without duping.
SO duping JUST makes it easier --> QUICKER!!!
SRSLY I don't want to spend my valuable time I got from LIFE (which I already am kind of "throwing away" with playing MC), why should I waste 5 hours to get 1 single roof ready (Lapis isn't that common -.-')
2. People that are offended by other's buildings that are duped are just intollerant and in my opinon ... dumb, sorry for that, but I am studying architecture right now... SO to ME it is much more important to have a pleasant looking buliding, than have this "I earned those Blocks in a legit way so I can be proud to have this 3 diamond blocks in a Wall where 20 would be needed to get the architecture effect I wanted"
WHAT is wrong with wantig to build creative, good looking Mansions in my OWN World!!
and if you're still hangin around on your arguent: But I think it's unfair if these people post pictures of their buildings that are duped and therefor "cheap"
Maybe we can write a rule in the "Show your screens here"-Thread like: If you built something with duped blocks give the information above the picture!
SIMPLE and everything is okay...
I'm a guy who is only interested to build a well lokking or impressive Building...
And ONE thing should be said:
Why does it always have to be like: "If you once duped, the game is ruined"

I can easily build my duped house that looks like: "OMFG want to go in there"
and STILL not dupe me anything after i finishe the building
get the game on hard and play around^^ still more fun than wasting a week to build this house and THEN do it....

I have no problem with anyone duping. However, have a problem with the attitude of "We don't have creative so I deserve to exploit this glitch".
Don't pretend like you've got some god damn right as a human being to exploit a glitch. I think what pisses people off the most is this undeserved sense of entitlement that most of you pro-duping people have.
Oh, and just like creations made with creative in the PC edition, I'd expect you to do the somewhat honorable thing and tell us if you've duped if you plan on sharing your creations later.

If i wanna not have the duplication glitch nd "ruin" my game, or "lack of creativity" then thats my problem. i'll make the most hard-worked mansion that i can possibly imagine! hows that for a "lack of creativity?" i love breaking the Dispensers and using cheats as much as the next guy, but lets face it. you'll never work as hard as a legitimate player, or maybe even a noob.

That sounds absolutely hideous by the way. Things like Diamond, Iron, and Gold blocks are only good in moderation. When you overdose on it, it looks really tacky and ostentatious in my opinion.

Nothing he does affects your playing experience.
