Once I got the essentials it hit me... What if I hold off on going into the nether?
The nether map get generated from the first entry, soooo...
If I hold off till 1.8, when the update rolls around, I might be missing some overworld tidbits, but my nether should generate as new with all the goodies. And it seems the primo stuff would be there.
What do you think?

Seatbelts are not as confining as Wheelchairs. Buckle up.
Too bad we couldn't craft a biome bomb. Terra form an area of 60 blocks, or 4-9 chunks. Now that would be an interesting xbox feature given the map size, and update limitation. Pot luck on what features crop up, but it could be biome style specific effect, jungle, desert, ect. or just random
A sorta Genesis block that would re-organizes blocks in a lifeless chunk or body.
Dear Lord. You think we're intelligent enough to... suppose... what if this thing were used where blocks already exists.
It would destroy such blocks in favor of its new matrix.
I was not attempting to evaluate its moral implications. As a matter of minecraft history, it has always been easier to destroy than to create.
Not anymore; now we can do both at the same time! According to myth, the map was created in 6 minutes. Now, watch out! Here comes Genesis! We'll do it for you in six seconds!
Really, player, you must learn to govern your passions; they will be your undoing. Logic suggests...
Logic? My God, the man's talking about logic; we're talking about minecraft Armageddon! You green-blooded, inhuman...

Anyway, the only structures in the Nether would be fortresses. They're only for blaze spawners and Netherwart. Neither of which is all too important without the other structures....

Blazes and Netherwart are extremely important for potions. You need Blaze Rods (Blaze drop) to craft a Potion Stand and you need Netherwart to make potions because it is the very first base ingredient.
If he waits to go to the Nether, he'll have a leg up on people in the potion crafing departement.

Ya, but a leg up on what? Being able to run fast and kill more blazes? What's the point?
The best use for blaze rods/powder is the Eye of Ender which would probably not even work correctly if the Stronghold chunk had already been generated.
Hadn't thought about the leg up(cool), just the different resources. Figured there would be new blocks(resources) in an newly generated nether. Stuff in the overworld is mostly crafted items based on existing blocks.
Villages might(big might) spawn in undiscovered areas like clay did. The jungle stuff would take a new map anyways. Villages seem to be the big minus on this plan.
I'm gonna stick with it and see what happens.

I would hope they would give a checkbox option for biomes and villages for those that might not want those in their worlds.
