Ive had a bit of a look around the forum but cant find anything about this...
Does anyone know if 4J plan to allow people to world-share in the future?, or would it even be possible?
The way I am imagining it is people who wanted to build a world with a friend or multiple friends would upload their world to a cloud server kind of setup and the world creator/owner would be able to select which of their friends gamertags have "admin" rights to their server.
The friends they select as "admins" would be able to join the world at any time and build & create and save their progress even when the world owner isn't online because the world would be saved on the cloud server.
I think this would be a great feature for minecraft to add in, especially for people with friends overseas or who have different school/work schedules who arent often on at the same time of day but would still like to build a world together.
The original owner of the world could add/change/delete who are admins on their world at any time.
I'm not a programming genius or anything but I would think it wouldnt be too hard to do this? Considering you can already back your save files up onto a cloud server.
Would people like this feature?

Agreeded if i could? cause if original owner went afk and some griefers came and destoryed his hole world he would be screwed
Griefers could only get in if the owner or an admin invited them... Just only invite people you trust, and dont save the world if you notice griefers have struck

Or it could just work like CasletMiner/CastleMiner Z where when the world is saved and closed, everyone in the game gets a copy.
Yes that would work too but then what if each person puts in work offline and each world is diffrent and you still want to play it together with all of your creations.
Well... I think it could be possible... Just think back to how halo worked you would upload a map to your online halo file and others could download it and play.... Same concept could be used for mine craft world sharing
The server we have is about to run into this problem. As of now we are lucky enough to have our female friend leave her xbox on all day but it's taking its toll on her xbox. So now she is shutting down the server unfilled Friday thru Monday. Super sad face. Anyways we do need a way where we can just hot potato the server around the main 5 people of this world (we have randoms come and go all the time). I hope developers get to see these kinds of posts cause it seems to be a popular topic.
I too had this idea. I believe that they need to make a shared cloud world. Using "cloud technology", we could have a world placed on a server. When that world is opened it would be sent to your xbox, and your xbox would act as the server. When player 2 wants to work on the map he/she would do the same thing except it would connect player 2 to player 1's xbox and do multiplayer like its done currently. It would basically look like the servers on the PC version, but the xbox would be hosting the server while the cloud would be hosting the map. Alot of cloud services do this already, like Google Docs. If 4J Studios adopted this method it ought to improve the game a great deal and would be a relatively cheap method of "running servers". Right now I believe the only server they are running is one for the leaderboards and possibly friend-friend connections. If they are afraid of cost of a cloud service(data transfer/electricity), it could be supported with a simple ad. As for cloud space I would give everyone at least 1 free cloud map and if people want more cloud maps they could pay a small 1 time fee for the map. Data Storage right now is pretty cheap, they could probably give people 5 or more maps with cloud storage for free and support the transfer of data cost with a small ad, if they even need that.
