hey minecrafters i was wondering if anybody had ideas for like auto and semi-auto farming for anything like mobs, trees, sugar can, wheat, Ect. so if anybody has ideas or tutorial video than post them here please also for the ideas if anybody could try to make them please also try to make a tutorial video about it thank you. i will be shocked to see what people have to show

waiting for pistons, which are used to do the auto-harvesting

i was debating starting construction on something, but figure i'd better wait to see how pistons work first

not much incentive to farm at the moment, honestly, since pigs and pork chops are so plentiful and there's no need for more food than that.

I used to use water+Pistons to make a semi-auto wheat farm. (not important how) I then learned the best thing to do is:
Make a 3 by 3 tunnel area. (has to be at least 3 tall and at least 3 wide)
Mine out the floor on the sides. Place water in the ditches.
Place dirt one block ABOVE water.
Till the dirt and plant wheat.
To harvest Run down tunnel while spamming left-click. (This goes incredibly fast)
Re-plant.

Diagram: Flower=Wheat
Dirt=Dirt
BlueWool=Water
Player goes between two flowers (Dirt at foot level/Wheat at head level)

You can't auto-harvest without pistons. I think, so there's nothing I can show you. Because I don't know

Use dirt to hold back a 3x3x1 room and use the water to Auto-Harvest (:

here is a cut away of the middle of my setup. make it 8 wide with water flows on both sides w/ blocks on top to keep wheat from going in them.
