Has anyone heard anything regarding the player limits increasing later on?
Also I heard from somewhere that they said they might try conjoining 360 and PC servers, not sure how that would be possible with the player/world limit. Maybe the pc players just play on xbox worlds?
I wouldn't completely rule out cross platform integration just because of X-Box user limits.
I am hopeful that the developers will transition to a server based system where worlds can be hosted and auto saved for players to access whenever they wish instead of waiting for their friends to get online. A server hosting system should definitely be a consideration as it would be another revenue stream. There are a lot of players out there that would seriously consider renting server space to allow for larger map sizes and larger multi-player systems. Taking a server type system to full PC integration should only be a few steps away from that point.
The bottom line for me is that I believe that the developers will pursue anything that they feel will be profitable, especially if it has anything to do with M$ (Microsoft). If there is enough interest in renting servers, then there is a good probability that we may see it in the future.
It won't happen, it might happen (make a mental note of MIGHT) when the Xbox version finally gets to the PC version, which I think will never happen, providing the fact that there is so much stuff already in the PC version, and it's almost an entire full version more than the Xbox, plus the Xbox isn't really designed for cross platforming.
Of course the Xbox version will reach the PC version, do you have any idea how much money this is bringing in? Also Xbox-PC cross functionality has already been confirmed possible. Its only a matter of when they will be ready for it.
It's only been 1 month since this game came out and there's only been 1 bug fix released and one update soon to be released. So obviously they are slacking.
Cross platforming has been done alrwady (Shadowrun ring any bells?) but they wont cross platform it. Too much difference in versions, that just cant be bridged unless they do a massive update or do a dlc. They can increase the amount of players though, they probably didnt because they didnt know how well it would sell

But just to add on to the only Xbox players there will most likely be alot more available because in CoD and Halo you can have almost 30 people on one map so I think we will eventually be able to.

How do you know about that update? What is in it? Why are some people privy to that information that the majority do not know?
we are getting 1.7.3 then were getting 1.8.1 then 1.1
oh and Zanpher I just check the wiki. there is an upcoming updates section specifically for xbox and you can go to the pc history and look what will be included in those updates. although we may get a couple things not said. as it was said xbox will have some features pc doesn't have and right now there is only one (split screen)

I wouldnt say that my friend had eight players and no one lagged so i would have to disagree with that statement
