is there any way to farm it or generate it?

Had this same ?. I read on the wiki that is usally is found near shallow water and so on and rarely spawns underground. So after we mine all we can find above ground is that it? or overtime will new clay appear cause me and some buddies started a server and found enough clay to do a 10x10 brick house 3 blocks high and a 7x7brick house 2 blocks high and thats all we found and cant seem to find anymore? any answers on if we can get more or if it comes back overtime?

Clay does not regenerate. It's like most other resources in that it's limited. There are very few renewable resources and clay is not one of them.
