well i just played minecraft minutes ago and i got an update of 3 MB and the only difference i saw i just the map they add some stuff but i still got the problem when i sleep at night monster still spawn and killed me. i really dont think this is the real patch for the game. because i didn´t saw any fixes.
There's definitely more clay and they've added the coordinates to the map. A monster also spawned in my house, though I believe it's the way that you build it which affects where the mobs spawn. Like, if it has a tunnel in it, there's probably a chance one will spawn.
Yeah i got tons of clay in new worlds i made. I haven't had any monster spawning issues yet, heck i even slept in beds outside in open just as night comes and haven't been attacked yet. One thing i really like is the turn sensetivity now.

Is your bed next to a wall or is it dark in your room?
my bed is not close to a wall and is full of torches but still they should of fix it i still dont get how can all those fixes can be in that 3 MB update
This update was basically just for bug's and to improve the setting's or saving of the game. Am happy mainly because it's fixed up the duplication glitch with the dispenser and furnace, which I thought spoiled the game. But 1.7.3 looks to be coming in summer ,as 4J said, but probably be mid july. However the next update, 1.8, will probably be released in august. 1.8 is a massive update giving us:
New Mobs.
Enderman
Silverfish
Cave Spiders
New Blocks
Stone Brick
Stone Brick Slabs
Stone Brick Stairs
Brick Slabs and Brick Stairs
Fence Gates
Glass Panes
Iron Bars
Melons
New Creative game mode.
New features in the terrain generator.
Optionally generated structures
NPC Villages
Strongholds
Abandoned Mine Shafts
Ravines
New, fractal-based biome code; added and removed some biomes while making all of them more vast than before.
Rivers flowing through/in between biomes.
Ocean Biomes, that are deeper and much more vast than before.
Mountain biome
Swamp
Snow in Taiga and Tundra biomes do not generate for technical reasons. They return in Beta 1.9.
New ocean floor; random mix of sand, dirt, and clay.
Because of this, clay is much more common.
New combat Mechanics.
Hold-to-charge bows
Critical hits.
Hostile mobs perform attack animations.
Mobs killed by players drop tiny flashing Experience Orbs that add to your experience bar.
New Food System.
There is now a food meter.
Food no longer heals directly but indirectly: if the food meter is above 90%, heals about every 5 seconds.
All food (except Mushroom Stew) are now stackable.
Food takes 1.6 seconds to consume, accompanied with an animation.
5 new food items.
Melon Slices.
Raw Chicken.
Raw Beef.
Cooked Chicken.
Steak, which has Cooked Porkchop's old texture. Cooked Porkchops' new texture is a tan shade of the same sprite.
Eating any raw food or Rotten Flesh has a chance to give the player food poisoning which makes the Hunger bar decrease three times as fast.
New seeds for farming: pumpkin seeds and melon seeds that produce Pumpkins and Melons respectively.
A new achievement: "Kill a skeleton with an arrow at 50 meters".
Added Sprinting
Mob changes
Passive mobs will randomly flee if attacked by the player or other mobs (such as Wolves).
Zombies drop Rotten Flesh instead of Feathers.
The snout on pigs now protrude from their head.
Skeletons now hold full-size bows.
Player-to-mob damage decreased by half a heart.
Arrows that hit a mob visually "stick" into the mob rather than just disappear.
Skeleton arrows originate from about their eyes to the bow, instead of above the head.
Animals no longer despawn which makes it possible to capture them.
Shears can now collect Tall Grass and the new Vine

If your saying that there is too much info in that small an update, you should see the PC Game, the entire game takes up about 4 MB.

Put a wolf at the foot of your bed and you'll never have issues with mobs rolling up on you in the middle of the night... Since I've done that I haven't been woken up once.
