So I made a wooden house with two floors and a roof. The second floor leads up to the roof via ladder but I have it blocked off with a trapdoor. But fairly often I have a mob spawn in the second floor of my house. I have every single square of my house lit up with torches and glowstone but they spawn anyway. I find it odd how it's only the second floor. I've gotten zombies, skeletons, spiders, and lots of creepers. Why are they getting in? I keep all of my doors closed and I don't have any holes in my house. I heard today that they updated it to fix this problem but it's happening anyway. Did I not get the update? Please help!!!
Yeah man same thing happens to me and creepers will spawn and blow up my freakin house. You could try building a little box around where they spawn to trap them.
I was dealing with this earlier. I think that when you begin to sleep, the code messes up and thinks the world around you is getting dark, thus spawning a mob when it reaches a certain point. I remedied this by lining my bed with torches (all around it) and replacing my ceiling to my own second floor with glass. I tried sleeping with it like that and it worked for me. I only went to sleep a few times, though, so I don't know if I was just lucky or if it is an actual patch job to prevent this from happening. Best of luck brother!
