hey guys, the update today showed that we can look at other peoples standing in the leaderboards,
i went strait to the top and lots of hackers had 55k of everything??!
seriously this is so stupid when lots of people try hard to get a good leaderboard ranking
i see that a few people have got banned because their name is ?????, but still other people have the top rankings
i hope this is fixed by either:
banning all the people with 55k stats on all- some things like sugar cane are easy but realy 55k travelled? the game hasnt been out for that long its obviosuly a hack
remove their ranking for the leaderboards
i thought there would be none of this, but i was wrong will leaderboards ever be fixed on xbox?

When there's competition there will always be cheaters. Unfortunately they can't really control this so it's best to etiher skip the obvious ones or look at how you stack up against your friends. Personally I hate that they implemented leaderboards into the game anyways not only because I knew this would happen but also because this isn't supposed to be a competitive game.

Like others, I never both with the top positions of ANY leaderboard online, most of the time it's occupied by some cheater/hacker that didn't get it legit. The only one I focus on is my friend leaderboard so that it's only competitive with my buddies and I. The only time I don't focus on a fried's leaderboard is when I don't have enough friends on it to begin with, then it's just a matter of just improving but with not as much drive.
It can be controlled. And it should be. But it isn't 4J's job. Its Microsoft's.

Also: The "File Complaint" is an effective tool for dispatching these players, only problem is you need people to actually give a damn...

I care ... made it to 38th on normal mining currently sat about 52nd ish would love to see the top people removed 65565 clay ? Yeah seems legit !
Don't think I've ever seen a legit leaderboard on xbox. Only good for keeping tabs on friends. And even if you stubb some toes by reporting cheating, those stats will remain unless there's a reset. Doubt many want that. Worse, same clowns will start up another account and do the same thing.
I just wish there were other stats. Like community stats.. Most used to least used block, average distances, average mob kill, time played, ect.
Some would be pretty obvious but comparing averages and friends lists is all the boards are for.

The question is whether the obviously inaccurate leaderboards are because of people glitching/duping stuff in-game or because they've actually hacked the system. If it's because of glitching then MS won't do a thing, and it's up to 4J to fix the exploit in the code. MS only really get interested if people have found a way to hack Live and upload leaderboard scores that way. MS are a bunch of paranoid megalomaniacs and come down hard and fast on anybody who threatens the absolute dominion they have over their precious Live service, as evidenced by the number of people who have been banned because they found a way to change some tiny detail of their avatar to something not expressly approved by MS.
Either way though, it's pretty low. While we have to accept that there are always going to be sad losers that feel the need to cheat, we don't have to like it or put up with it. Now 4J have fixed the dispenser/furnace dupe glitch in the game it should mean that any further false leaderboard scores are due to direct violations of the Live T&Cs. So go ahead and report them; just because we can't get rid of every dirty little cheater out there, there's no reason we can't bloody the noses of as many as possible.
You can't dupe blocks mined, crops harvested, distance travelled, or enemies killed....
Dupe glich doesn't really aid in any of these besides crops i guess or eggs... but you still have to dupe these things, place them, and harvest them. (gotta break chicken eggs..)
(I guess you could do this for blocks mined but thats just a waste of time....)
I can't see how using the dupe could help towards the leaderboards and also getting so close to the top I think more people have used the glitch than 35ish people on normal and used it a lot.
Unfortunitly people are putting up tutorials of how to hack the boards and watching a few of them its a full hack using external programmes nothing more than reporting and rating videos down when you find one can be done. If you attack a hacker and stop them then they only try and do more next time.
As far as effecting leaderboards. Boosters don't have that large of an impact on them. At least not in games like Call of Duty. Whenever you see a booster with good stats. There's always someone around them with similar stats that earned them. They never really get ahead of the pack in terms of stats. Its shitty players boosting for average stats most of the time. Occasionally you'll get a few that have great stats through boosting. But for the most part they don't have a massive impact on leaderboards.
They're still douches and ruin the games they boost in(and they should be banned from leaderboards). But their effects on leaderboards USUALLY aren't that large.

just ignore the obvious hacks, I really only focus on my friends stats so I wouldn't know what the top is like XD
lol ive beaten all my friends already so it doesent matter :Lboosting is a fps term how can you boost on this except mob spawners, no they are obvoisly hacks
I hope they just remove the leaderboards, they serve no purpose. Now an online in game gallery where players can send the photos of their best creation would nice.
