There was a mention from 4J on their twitter that they have skins that will be from known IPs. That suggests to me that we'll eventually have DLC for something like.... Master Chief skins or something. That's at least a semi-founded guess, but that's all I've got that might be remotely verifiable.

It'd be nice if we could use our Xbox avatars ingame. It would certainly make the outfits MS sells for them seem more useful...
Using Xbox Live Avatars would look horrible. The entire game is blocky pixels. If you throw in nicely rendered non square pixel characters, it would look like ****.

Forgive our friend with the tiny imagination - I'm sure they could pretty easily convert some of the textures onto cubes if they really wanted to. It would be as easy as rendering a sample avatar, getting a sample of the pixels, chopping down their color depth and sticking it to one of the planes.
Would it look nice? Probably not, but it's not impossible because of round things.....

I've read in the past (a year or two ago) that you don't need a Gold membership to buy DLC. Is that still the case today, or does it vary by title? Any thoughts on whether gold membership will be required for MC DLC?

I'm pretty sure you don't need a gold membership but I believe all DLC is timed exclusive for gold members. That means silver members cannot download the DLC until maybe a week later.

i hope they do dlc mods but xbox didnt like that idea..
I think they might but it won't be "mods". Mods are when the user tampers with the game to change code and do what they want and violate Xbox's terms of use. For ex: if they were to put in the clay soldiers mod from pc to xbox but as dlc, it wouldn't be a mod but it would be just a new piece added to the game that anybody could have. In my opinion, dlc like "mods" are something we aren't probably going to see. Texture packs and skins can easily be added into the game as dlc and we'll probably have to pay money for it seeing as this game has made so much money already and they wouldn't pass up an easy opportunity like this. Heck even I'd pay for a cool troll face meme skin lol
What if dlc was 4J Studios adding their own things to minecraft that even the computer doesn't have like new ores that could make new weapons, tools, etc.

4J has hinted that the Xbox will be getting exclusive things but they haven't said what they are yet. All they've said is "some things big and some things small"

Dude I can't wait. July is when all the cool stuff is going to happen except for the fact that if you want villages, abandoned mineshafts, and biomes in your world, most likely you will have to start a new one

I just hope they have a good variety of skins and aren't too pricy. Maybe even a skin creator, that would be fresh.
